Yes your employer would need to apply for your visa. Secondly to get German Citizenship by decent: Child born in wedlock whose father or mother is a citizen of Germany. Child born out of wedlock whose father is stateless or unknown and whose mother is a citizen of Germany. Child born out of wedlock to a foreign woman and a German father will be granted German citizenship upon the legitimization (recognition) of the child by the German father. GERMAN CITIZENSHIP BY NATURALIZATION: At the discretion of the German naturalization authority; 8 years residence in Germany is a requirement.

Any country that you go to has its own rules and regulation. They all have to have permits for work. this is international rules.

Did everyone at your work enjoy Paris' perp walk, too

Did everyone at your work enjoy Paris' perp walk, too?
At my office, people were getting calls and texts, calling and texting others around the city, and cheering as we watched the footage on the big screen in the conference room. (Yes, we had to go turn on CNN and see for ourselves. We couldn't wait to get home!) Were you cheering as Paris Hilton screamed, cried, and got handcuffed, too? Was there *any* productivity in your workplace afterwards? Just wondering. :-)

Will O2 phone network work in Paris

Will O2 phone network work in Paris?
and if so, will free texts still be free?

I'm not sure. It depends where your from. A mobile usually signs into that countries main network. But only temporary. But you may also stay as 02. If your from the UK or Ireland etc... yeah you probably will stay as O2 but you wont have your free texts. Everything is much more expensive when you ring or text. But you can get roaming options if you go into O2. Hope i helped

How does the song "From Paris to Berlin" work

How does the song "From Paris to Berlin" work?
How can infernal have made the song from Paris to Berlin. They're not even in the same continent, or is there a suburban town in some random location either called Paris or Berlin? Or did she actually take a world tour?

Please have a look at a map of Europe, and you'll find Paris and Berlin ARE on the same continent. Paris is the capital of France, and Berlin is the capital of Germany. Both are connected by road, train, and plane, and many people travel between the two cities each year. Infernal come from Denmark, also a European country, and from here it is very easy to get to both Germany and France.
2 :
paris and berlin are on the SAME continent, Europe, both cities are rather well-known. What did u thought? that paris or berlin is a city in Asia?
3 :
its near there
4 :
Paris is in Europe and Berlin is in Germany, which are both in Europe, so they are in the same continent. Infernal are from Denmark, and both France and Germany are easy to reach from there.

Student chef would like to work in Paris for a Summer; how to go about it

Student chef would like to work in Paris for a Summer; how to go about it?
I'm a student chef and I'm graduating in May of 2008. I would like to work in Paris for a Summer, but have no clue as to how to begin. I know I need a passport of course, but what about a work visa? My French is passably good; enough to get around on :) My goal is to refine my technique a bit and to work for pay as an entry level employee in a restaurant that is willing to take someone who is still very much a greenhorn in this profession. Thanks!

I'd ask your teachers or French restaurant chefs in your town if they know of any good restaurants personally so you have some sort of connection to anyone in the industry in Paris. Then you might even work without a visa, but not get paid for it in money, but you might get food and lodging and definitely experience. By the time you pay and go through the hassle of a summer work visa, this route may be simpler. If your goal is longterm, then you'll need the visa. Another idea is to write the Cordon Bleu and ask them.
2 :
France still uses the system of apprenticeship to train chefs and you may find it difficult to get an entry level job that pays since you competition will be French nationals who are working for free (or next to nothing) as apprentices. Work visa's are very difficult to obtain for Americans (I am presuming you are an American national) as unemployment in France is double what it is in the USA and unemployment amongst the young is at crisis levels.

I want to work in Paris. I speak little French. I want to work in an English speaking environment. Any help

I want to work in Paris. I speak little French. I want to work in an English speaking environment. Any help?
Hi, I'm 21years old. I'm a qualified systems and software tester. Have extensive IT skills, aswell as very physically fit and interested in security work. I live in Paris with my French girlfriend. I speak pretty much no French at all, but am learning with her help. Does anybody know any English speaking roles or businesses within Paris where i might be able to find some work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dan

Buy a French-English dictionary or some other kind of translator until you learn enough French to work effectively.
2 :
Contact your embassy in Paris and find out what businesses there are that you could apply to. Hope you have a working visa.
3 :
You've got to get out there and start networking. Start joining Franco-American organizations in your field. Do some research and find out what American or other English speaking companies have offices in Paris. Also, consider being a telecommuter for a company in the States that needs someone physically in Paris. I would push your self more to learn French. Only good can come out of knowing a second language. You live there, you have a French girl friend and you have lots of opportunity to practice. Make it fun. Take small steps. Learn a bit more everyday. Take some classes. Make your self go out and put your self in situations where you will have to use the language. And then before you know it - you will get it. It is not easy - but it is worth it. And I guarantee you that it will be fulfilling for you personally on many levels. If nothing else this will help out your job prospects.
4 :
if i were you, i would learn french it is kind of hard at first, but some of the words are similar to english. and you'd suit more jobs in france if you knew the langauge. but i would say do something in the tourist job field.

Websites for streaming American TV shows in Paris France

Websites for streaming American TV shows in Paris France?
Hey, I have a friend in Paris France who can't watch any of her shows from America while there because she can't find any sites (Ex: Hulu doesn't work in Paris). Does anyone know of some sites that streams Americans TV shows in Paris? Thanks.

There isn't one. Mainly because networks (ABC, CBS etc) only buy the rights for the shows for the US, so they're not allowed to broadcast way in any way (streaming included) outside the US. After, there is a solution called a VPN. I use one. It changes your IP Adress to make Hulu and all believe that you are American. But, if you want a solution suitable for video streaming, you need a paid VPN. Mine costs me $55/year. Check here :http://www.strongvpn.com/

No i dont think the phone will work, France use the GSM bandwidth 900/1800/1900 so since the phone is in a different bandwidth so it wont work!
2 :
Yes your phone will work. Your phone covers all the bandwidth ranges. When you say local sim, do you mean a Paris sim? It will work with any sim except you will be on roaming if you use another country sim. However, make sure that your country operator has roaming facilities in Paris (which im pretty sure they do).

Would a Vodafone from Netherlands work in France

Would a Vodafone from Netherlands work in France?
I bought a sim card cell from Netherlands, and I am going to Paris, I am wondering if the cellphone (vodafone) work in Paris. Also, would the charger from Netherlands work in Paris. I am not too familiar with Europe yet. Thanks. Also, would I be able to rent a car in Europe and drive with an American License?
Netherlands - 2 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
If you buy a sim card in the Netherlands then it is only sensible to use it in the Netherlands. Using it in Paris will mean you are charged extra for using and recieving calls abroad. It is more sensible to use a pay-as-you-go sim card for NL to use in NL, and then if you are spending time in Paris to do the same there as well (unless you have credit left on your NL sim card and you are not planning to return in the trip) The charger from NL will also work in Paris,no problem at all Yes you will be able to rent a car with an American licence in most countries that I am aware of, but there may be a chance you will need the International Driver's Permit to accompany it, as it is "recommended" in some countries (although with the bigger rental agencies at least then this is not commonly requested) You can see here on the Rick Steves' guide (his info is usually pretty reliable about Europe from what I have read on other subjects) and you can see the countries where it is recommended, and how to obtain it (plus other tips) http://www.ricksteves.com/rail/carrent.htm and here is the official State dept info http://travel.state.gov/travel/tips/safety/safety_1179.html
2 :
Your sim card will work but the rate they charge per minute or sms will change the charger will work in all European countries except the UK and Ireland.

Italian Vogue has much more old-world glamour with a punch of color and fabric variations....so if I was feeling classic and really old-world movie-starish I would go for Milan and Vogue Italia Paris is more puncy and punky, with lots of black, and lots of personality. It is more exotic and willing to go outside the lines, so if I felt really wild and amazing, it would be Vogue Francois for sure. Right now i'm feeling like a ride in a Ferrari, with a gorgeous silk scarf and sky high stilettos , so right at this very moment, Vogue Italia. Where would you live?
