I am a 19 year old student sick of college, how can I live and work in Paris for a year maybe as a waiter?
I just wanna leave the US for a while. I'd like to get a full time job in Paris where I can make enough money to pay for an apartment, food, some spending cash, and occasional trips to other european cities. The only special skills I have is that Im fluent in spanish and I know some high school french, which I would like to improve so I can be fluent. Is there a sane way of doing this or is this something really hard to do? I'm poor by the way (Im a college student)

Live your life. If this is what you want to do and it would make you happy, than find a way.

Work in hotels, you will be given free accomodation, free food and free conveyance and you will earn lots of tips

stay in collage and then go to Paris. Trust me if you stay in collage then you will get a much better job and get more money to travel.

i would say go for it... take your american headbands and matching parachute pants and waiter your ass off... just scratch off that whole idea of apartment, food, some spending cash, and occasional trips........ oh and do you like sleeping in alleys?

take a semester or even a year in paris, earn some extra credits in a diffrent school. but don't leave school all together, you'll never make enough money to support yourself. paris is expensive. and if you are enrolled in a school then you can stay in the dorm which is cheep and may even come with a meal plan. once you are in paris, may i suggest, rich bf... that way you might get to enjoy the glamourus side of europ.

I've moved around quite a bit over the years and started completely new most of those times. The biggest thing to do is save up enough to last until you can get your first paycheck...not until you get a job, unless they pay you cash. Figure out the exchange rate for our money and their's and find out how much it is to live comfortably for about 1.5-2 months. What would be better is to look for job listings while your here and apply...maybe you can have a job waiting for you. Then factor airfare, food, utilities, spending money. It won't be easy... but it also depends on how much you want it and how agressive your willing to be.

Get real! The only thing a frenchman would have you doing is a job that involved you naked on your knees. A "silly ass" is what you'd be. A frenchman with economic power over a young american. Grow up.

Personally I would look on the ESL job boards. Teach english as a second language. There are lots of schools around the world that want any native english speaker with a high school diploma. if you are interested in ESL, take the Cambridge, or CELTA online ESL certificate which will help you get jobs. Just don't pay more than $300 for the certificate course (takes 6 to 8 weeks). www.teachabroad.com www.daveseslcafe.com Not sure if there are any jobs in france, but there are lots of jobs around the world for ESL teachers with high school diplomas. One of the biggest problems with trying for any job in the EU is that you need a EU passport. Unless you have citizenship you are usually screwed. The ESL teaching route works great for ASIA, south america, and africa really well. here is a position in spain, but you need at TEFL certificate (I mentioned it above) http://www.eslcafe.com/joblist/index.cgi?read=15301 here is a position in moscow http://www.eslcafe.com/joblist/index.cgi?read=15335 here is a position in thailand http://www.eslcafe.com/joblist/index.cgi?read=15328 ecquador http://www.eslcafe.com/joblist/index.cgi?read=15322

I want to make a print of my dogs' and cats' feet, would plaster of paris work or is there something better

I want to make a print of my dogs' and cats' feet, would plaster of paris work or is there something better?
The plan is two pour the plaster into a square mold, let it set up a little, then press Boo's, Tako's, Mr. Chip's, Pooter's, Garfield's, and Bob-o's paw *or paws* into it to make a print. Then I'd write their names and estimated birthdays above or below the print, and leave it at that. Possibly paint the name. Is that viable? I've never really messed with plaster. My immediate thought was cement, but these are small prints and I want detail, and I don't think cement comes in such a fine grain. Clay could work, but only if I could get someone to fire it for me. Bone dry just doesn't do well if something happens. Would a ceramics store that does do classes fire it for me if I asked real nice and payed them? Then I could glaze, fire again, and have pretty tiles as memoirs. Input? The prints are meant for a walk-of fame type deal for whenever I settle down. I'm gonna start doing the tiles now just in case something happens to any of the pets before then. besides, how is making a footprint in clay harder than making a footprint in ink?

The ceramics store should fire it for you. I'm sure they would also help you with deciding what type of clay to use, etc.. As far as the plaster, I've never worked with it either so I can't really advise on that. BUT, walmart and most craft store sell a product that you can do the same thing with a baby's hands and feet. That would suit your purpose quite well. I believe it's called Precious Moments or something like that. It's in the craft section at walmart.

Clay would work better than plaster of paris. Basically, dont use anything on your pets that you wouldn't use on yourself. You can take the clay to a school or university or yes, anywhere that does classes and they will do it cheaper for you. Just make sure there's no "bubbles" or small unsealed cracks, or the whole thing will explode!!

Why!? Did they do something wrong? What?? Wow ow ow!

Okay, that seems like a lot of trouble to go to when they are hard to get to be still anyways. I did a scrapbook for my best friend of his dog and wanted to get his print. I went to the craft store and got some ink a dark color of red, blue, or black should work and then just put their foot on the stamp pad and then onto paper. If you worried about it rubbing off the paper, you could just laminate the paper after you got all the prints you want. I would clean their paws afterwards just so they don't get any irritation from the ink. You might be able to find ink especially made for dogs and cats. Good luck.

Check out your local pet stores, I am sure they would have something for you to use. I know there is modeling clay you can "bake" in your oven. I would not use plaster of paris. It is messy and hard to get out of your pet's hair. If you can't find the modeling clay to bake, take the clay and spread it in the bottom of small carton. Make the impression and then poor the plaster of paris over it, so you can get a reverse impression.

A lot of craft stores like Michaels and Joanns sell kits for doing just this. They come with disposable molds and decorations. Kids love them.

It won't. For some reason, Nintendo region coded their Wii consoles and games. God knows why.
2 :
no it wont, because in france there elecrtic socket shape is diffrent from the ones in the US.
3 :
Only if you also buy her this Freeloader as well: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-10v-49-en-70-2m98.html The site is trust worthy, you can also check eBay. Don't buy the US version of the Freeloader cuz it won't work for her PAL Wii. You need to buy the PAL version to work on her PAL Wii. That item lets her play any region coded games on her PAL Wii.
4 :
Depends on game version, eg : Pal, US, JP If you are using a Wii which is US version, you are only allow to play US version... And etc does the etc.
