Hi, was wondering about using cell phones in foreign countries. I'm from the U.S and going to Paris. If you text to the U.S is there an extra fee etc. Thanks!

It depends on what network you're on. But there will always be fees. If your phone is from the U.K or Europe, then the charges will be lower, but the charges could be in excess of $5.00 a minute for calling.

You will be charged more for texting / calling from the continent to the US. Ask you current phone service provider the best way of using your phone while abroad. Be careful this could be from a dew dollars to 10's of dollars for a call. It can become very expensive.

Lots of ways u can do this, u can arrange that u can have ur cellphone temporarily be on a French cellphone network, or if j will be in a wifi zone, their r tons of apps that will allow u to call and text either cheaply or free. If u r bringing ur laptop u can buy a magicjack which allows u to get a us number and then travel the world and use the same number Magicjack.com Good luck

If you are on t-mobile/at&t it would cost about $1.70 per minute and $1 a text. All tariffs are around the same.
